Amin
My name is Amin and I'm from Esfahan City, Iran. I born as a Muslim in a Muslim family. When I was 26 years old, I became Christian. Because of Sharia laws, if a Muslim man becomes Christian, the regime of Iran considers it a serious crime. I and my fellow Christians were meeting secretly to read the Bible, pray and worship until the regime found out about our small group and tried to catch and prosecute me. With some help, I was able to flee Iran to Indonesia.
In Iran I was a cabinet maker but in Indonesia, refugees are not allowed to work. For the last eight and a half years, my brothers and sisters in Christ have supported me with food and shelter and what I needed. I hope in the future to receive a visa to another country. I look forward to working again so that I will be able to support myself and help others . Thanks for reading my story.
