Fatema

Hi my name is Fatema Bahar Khaleqi from Afghanistan having two brothers and one sister.
My father has been dead for several years.
I have been in Indonesia for three and a half years, due to the difficult conditions and
difficulties I had to leave my home country and sought refuge here.
It was very difficult but easy to get to know Christ. I paid a heavy price to get Christ.
The sufferings and temptations that God has placed between me and Christ are what has
passed through me.
It was July of 2016, when I arrived in Indonesia alone a girl full of pain and unhappy past that
my life had begun to look like I'd never dreamed of these days.
The day I arrived in Indonesia, I had a small amount of money and thought that I could work
and live my life on my own, but that the refugee is not allowed to work.
The amount of money I had was just enough for a month and it wasn't long before my money
was finished and I had no friends or relatives to contact and ask for help. I was crying days
and nights.
I was out one day when I met an Afghan man in the store. I was so happy to find an Afghan
from my home country because I had just recently arrived and I could tell my problems and
find a solution.
After getting to know each other. I told him about my situation he was happy to help me after
knowing my problems.
That man offered me that if I cook for him and his roommates and wash their clothes, and
instead they would give me a place to stay and provide me food to eat at the same place
where they lived.
I was there for three days and nights because I had no other choice than that and I really
had to, but after three days they started sexually harassing me and I had to run away
because I was so scared and went to the United Nations Office in Jakarta to ask for help.
I had to spend three nights and days in front of the United Nations Office in that hot weather
and no shelter or any space to use for sitting but on the street. I had no hope of anyone
except the United Nations Office.
It was a strange day for me on the fourth day; a group of men and women were passing
through that one gentleman came to see me because of the frightened shrieking and gloom
that I was so obvious that gentleman began to talk to me and offering to help me.
I completely rejected and changed my place because I had a bad experience before.
But they came back and told me that we are not going to harm you don't be afraid, we are
just trying to help you.
Then I turned down their offer and they said so, for now we pray for the only help we can
give you and that we are Christians and want to pray in the name of Christ.

They asked me for permission and put their hands on my head and started praying - while
they were doing I found a strange feeling and my body was frozen and shaking even though
I was sitting and the weather was very hot that day.
I also prayed to God for help to save me from these problems.
After praying they left and soon after four hours I was called from the UN office and took me
inside the office to take me to a safe place and give me a home.
That night I didn't go to sleep until the morning I was wondering who was Christ that his
prayer was accepted; from that night onwards I began to research and find out about Christ
and Christianity.
During this period of almost three years, I was subjected to heavy laboratories that in many
cases Christ performed miracles for me and did not leave me alone.
There have been nights where I have never been out of my family's distress and in all my
troubles I have been in pain with Christ and begged him not to leave me alone.
I decided to accept Christ's from the core of my heart and soul so that he would be my Lord
and I was baptized, and in short, as I became a Christian, I learned to be patient with faith in
God and most importantly to forgive and be forgiven.
The result of my three years of research and baptism was that I was born kind.
All this in the name of your only child, Jesus Christ (Amen)
